Antique doorknobs have always fascinated me. When I was a child my Grandparents had an amazing Victorian home that had the most ornate crystal doorknobs. I can remember the sub relecting through them in the summertime.
As I got older I started remodeling homes in my spare time. Always very conscious of our environment, I try to use recycled or reclaimed materials when I remodel home. Not only does it help the environment but it ads charm and flair to almost any structure or project.
I become extra excited when I am antique hunting and I come across antique doorknobs. They are the access point to the room or building you are entering and when they are dated they just give you a sense of history as you use them. I started this site as a salute to these amazing antiques. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
