antique drawer pulls and knobs
bronze would seem from 1928 gold?
i have a vintage 1928 comfortable than being restored. that comes with a tall chest of drawers that have 2 doors that open with 5 drawers hidden. craft had very detailed. .... anyway who were cleaning the knobs to pull the ring and began to look for gold. We scratched a small piece and certainly not just plated gold. I called an antique dealer and asked if they thought it was gold and said it was impossible! Why? I know I can get a gold standard, but I wonder if antique bronze looks like gold. thanks for your help!
This is probably not of bronze or brass for gold. To find whether it is gold, should be subjected to the test. This destroy the brass or bronze fittings for its dissolution. It will not hurt the gold. If the accessories were gold, which must have a karat mark on them. Otherwise color by itself whether it is gold, looks at a gold band. Real gold is rarely wrong when you see it.
