Not oil rubbed bronze for me

I ordered one up even though the reviews of some said it was silver not bronze but I gave it a shot. Indeed I got a silver/nickel color with copper looking accents. Not sure if some are getting bronze, but I didn't. Thing will not work "color" wise for me at all. I only got as far as opening the box to see it was silver so I can't comment on the glass, but can say the power cord on this was brown, so even if I kept it (which I am not) silver and brown just don't seem like they would look right? I gave 2 stars as it looks like it would be a fine chandelier, but isn't oil rubbed bronze at all!

Wish I read the reviews before purchasing! This is not oil-rubbed bronze. Package upon arrival clearly states that it is classic bronze, which is a grey color - not even close to oil-rubbed. Hope my review saves your time and money I lost...

Our old chandaleer had come with the house over 15 years ago when we bought the house; so it was even older than that but couldnt pass as a desirabl antique. The warm lights make it look more expensive than it is. We put it over a small round table of 4. Would def recommend to a friend. We are replacing the old fixtures in our home. so this worked out great for us. As some of the other reviews have mentioned, comparing the costs of other chandeliers at home depot/lowes, this is significantly less expensive. They go around one to two hundred. The color is a very dark gray, but when its hung up- it could easily pass as bronze.

Much needed upgrade

Looks great in our dining area. A bit difficult to install by myself, better to have help when putting this one on. Looks more expensive than it cost. I had some missing parts when it came, called HH and they send me a replacement quick.

Good for price

Was slightly smaller than I expected, but generally I liked the style and it arrived quickly. The finish on some of the parts was not very good -- but given the price was acceptable.

price point makeover

This product is plenty nice for the price point. We were just replacing a light in our apartment and this one looks very nice once it is on the wall. My only complaint is the copper screws which don;t match and we will probably be painting them dark brown later on.

I bought this light to go in our bathroom. For the price, it can't be beat. It's much cheaper than similar lights at the big box home improvement stores. Installation was pretty easy and the light looks great.

Very pretty but creates alot of mood lighting

i bought this to get rid of my tacky gold fixtures and it is super pretty and cost effective. it is of good quality and made quite well. the only reason i gave 4 stars is that i put this in my downstairs bathroom and it seems that since the glass globes are amber it creates a little bit of mood lighting which is not really necessary in the bathroom but overall very nice

Problem with Knockouts for Wired Unit

Purchased one three-bulb, two two-bulb and a single one-bulb. We are putting them in right now. Having trouble with the 3-bulb as the knockout for hard wiring isn't knockout - it's just a depression stamped inti the metal. We are having to drill it out! The other three units have been knockouts that are partially stamped through and we eventually pushed them out with some effort

Under Cabinet Lights

I removed a couple of flourescent light fixtures from under two separate upper cabinet areas. I wired in the Halogen lights with no trouble - the instructions were relatively clear. The Halogen Lights made a large difference on our countertops. They have two light settings, low and high. The high setting is very bright and gives off enough light to cover a 6 foot section of countertop. The only con is that Halogen gets hot quickly, so we try to turn them off as soon as they are not needed. I am very satisfied with this product.

No plug!

I love this light, but it does not have a plug. I went to Ace and purchased an extension cord. I cut it and used its plug since the wiring to attach it is there.

You get what you pay for

We bought 2 of these pendant lights to replace the tacky brass fixtures that came with our house. We are very happy with the new look at such a good price. The reason I did not give these fixtures 5-stars is because of the quality.One of the lights did not have the correct threads in the base where it attaches to the ceiling so I had to modify it to get it mounted. The other one was fine from the factory. It is also worth noting that the straight sections do not match up very well because of the way they are connected, so this makes them visibly crooked. We tried every combination of the extension sections just to make sure, but they all did the same thing. It is crooked enough that it bothers me (since I was up close during the install), but not so bad that other people would really notice at normal viewing distance (Vaulted ceiling mount). You will not have any problems if you only use one extension section, it is where the sections meet that causes the angle.The color is actually just a dark grey with a sloppy application of copper color around the part above the shade. This is probably one of the ways they keep the cost down. The more expensive fixtures at Lowes have a more detailed finish applied. We bought the grey hammer finish Krylon spray paint to use on our other ceiling mounted fixtures and they are a near perfect match to these pendant lights. I would definately buy again because of the price and considering the low quality fixtures I am replacing anyway...Anything is an improvement!

Nice looking light

I installed two of these lights to replace some dated fixtures. The neutral style allows them to fit in easily to my decor. The design allows you to use none to three extensions, so the drop height is adjustable. I used one, which was perfect in my installation location. Installation was easy, although the instructions were not complete clear.

Really Great look

I really like these pendant lights, in the description it doesn't tell you if you have to use them at 47-1/4 inch but we took a gamble hoping that you wouldn't and they come in 3 sections so they can be made shorter. We use them above an island counter in the kitchen and if they were 47-1/4 they would almost touch the counter (we have 8 foot ceilings). We left out a pole on both of them and the look beautiful!! We bought all of the hardware house oil rubbed bronze items to match we love them so much!!

In the middle of the night my wife ask's "What was that crash?"

While I really do like these lights, the problem is the cover. It keeps falling off. A magnet is supposed to hold it up, but its in the middle and not on the ends. Also for some reason the cover is slightly bowed preventing the ends to completely close. Other than that the look and feel has a nice quality. I will order again to complete the project, making sure before I install it the cover will stay closed. Hopefully this is a known problem that's been addressed.

As with most Harware House products, this feels a it light when you pick it up compared to the weight of "high end" products. That said, it looks great, has the "hidden mounting".This mounts very securely to the wall, and feels very secure.The bottom line, in today's world, this is a great value, and will look very nice in your bathroom.
