Copper is toxic? My husband wants to put a skin of patinated copper bell in our kitchen and on the island.?

I think this would be impressive, as it coincides with the bronze drawer pulls. I heard that the patina can be toxic. Or just drink from a copper pipe is bad? Advice please.

Some metal ingested in large enough quantity is toxic, which applies to many other substances, too. drinking of copper tubing is not bad. The problem was / is the lead-based solder used in many of them bronze. PS also contains copper and how many pennies do you handle one days without you poisoning yet?
