Installing a built-in dishwasher requires basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and skills, so the average person can install hand a dishwasher in 1 to 3 hours depending on whether is a new installation or a replacement dishwasher. If you are replacing an existing dishwasher, it will take less time.
New Installation
1. Prepare the cabinet area where the dishwasher is installed. The opening should be 24 inches wide for most models 24 inches deep and 34 1 / 2 "from the floor to the bottom of the countertop. The wall can not have pipes or wires in it. The power and lines water will enter the cabinet at 4 "X4" area at the bottom rear of the enclosure through a 1 1 / 2 "hole. 2. Choose your method of drainage based on your local codes and the height of the jersey drainage. Some codes require an air space. 3. Inspect or install wiring making sure there is 120V, 60Hz dedicated switch circuit with 15 or 20-amp fuse or time delay. Wiring must be 2 wire with ground and rated for 75 degrees Celsius or 176 degrees Fahrenheit. The wiring may enter the cabinet of either side in the bottom rear. The hole should be a maximum of 1 1 / 2 ", and may be the same hole used for the water supply line and hose drainage if your wiring. If it is a flexible cord must have a separate hole. Cable wiring coming from the right side in the bottom 24 inches cabin to the front right side electrical connection in the dishwasher.
4. Prepare the water supply line that goes through the 1 1 / 2 "hole in the lower rear of the cabinet. Turn off the water to install a hand shutoff valve under the sink. The water connection is on the left side of the washing machine dishes. Use 3 / 8 "OD copper line to extend a minimum of 19 inches from the wall. The water heater should be set between 120 and 150 degrees (about 120 if the children are at home to prevent accidents from burns) and the pressure must be between 20-120 PSI.

6. Connect the drain hose in the port dishwasher drain if they are not factory installed. Position the electrical wiring and water lines for the base of the dishwasher is not captured. Slide the dishwasher off the opening so that you can feed the drain hose through the hole drilled for it.
7. Inch by inch slide the dishwasher in the cabinet as the rate of the drain hose through the hole. Stop a few centimeters to the left and make sure nothing is bent or folded. If all is in order, click the dishwasher all the way in which the edges of the door behind the cabinet structure. Test the door to open and close smoothly.
8. Level the dishwasher from front to back and side to side, adjusting the leveling legs.
9. Align the brackets and secure the dishwasher to the counter according to manufacturer's instructions.
10. Through the access panel, connect the water supply line and power supply. Also connect the drain hose under the sink. You are ready to make a wet rinse test with the "only"
cycle. Check for leaks and the adequate drainage.
Replacing an existing dishwasher
You do not have to drill holes, since they are already there from the dishwasher existing. However, it is necessary to inspect the wiring and plumbing to make sure they are capable of servicing the new dishwasher. Once set to be shut down the main chamber and turn off water supply before beginning the withdrawal of the old dishwasher. All lines and cables must first be disconnected. Take the drain hose out of the garbage disposal or drain pipe under the sink. If the dishwasher has a power cord, disconnect the cable. If you come connected the dishwasher, you have to open the access panel and electrical junction box. Remove the wire nuts and disconnect the black and white wires. Also remove the ground screw to disconnect the green ground wire. Use a skillet, while catches of disconnecting the water supply line. Then follow the same procedures to install the new dishwasher with the exception of drilling the holes and run the wiring and water supply lines.
Once you have installed your new dishwasher and tested for leaks, you are ready to start cleaning.
