I have a hidden room in my house, but don't have a clue what it was used for help!?

Like i said i have a hidden room in my house. you wouldn't notice it unless u were looking for it, the door to the room in is a cupboard/unit witch is built into the wall. the lock on the small door is on the outside leading into the door. u can only acces the room from under my house in a Very narrow hole in the wall. it is not tiled or concreted its just plain dirt and on the door leading into my house their is no Handle or knob no actual way to open it from inside since it opens in. and in one of th holes in the wall their is a cat collar probably from a stray cat also inside the room is a big cabinet. i have researched the house history and believe it was built in 1986-1990. what could this room be used for i haven't the faintest idear???
I forgot to add their is also power runing to the room, power plugs and lights and switches of course lol.
