This set of 6 ceramic cabinet knobs is sure to add a touch of vintage old world charm to any cabinet! Each is made of red ceramic in a pumpkin shape. They are made to look like old, vintage knobs, but are brand new. The center of the knob is brass as is the screw that goes through the drawer or door. A great find! Good enough but not stellar

I was looking for something that looks nice but still had a nice drawer action. This didn't make it, yet. The cabinet was easy to put together. I don't have a power drill but it didn't matter. The problem is the top drawer will only open out three inches. It gets caught on something in the rail mechanism so I have requested a replacement piece. We will see if the new piece fixes the problem. As another owner reported, there is a gap between the top drawer and the bottom drawer, which, if I think about it too much, will really bother me.Received replacement tracks for the drawers and now there is a little hitch when the wheel in the drawer passes a screw that won't go flush. This is an improvement of getting completely stuck on the screw.

Looks great. I think a good deal for the price compared to what I saw at the furniture store when I was shopping around. It is sturdy enough for filing.

Wonderfully perfect

This was exactly what I was looking for. Absolutely NOT cheap pressed wood. Beautifully blends in with the other furniture and does not stand out as a "file cabinet". Thankfully I did not have to put this piece together. Due to the extremely fast shipping it got home before I got home from vacation and my wonderful husband had it all put together for me, he says the instructions might as well have been left out. Regardless, I love it. And this was definitely the least expensive place to purchase this item, I searched for about 2 weeks.

The cabinet is sturdy, functional, and a decent piece of furniture. There were two issues relating to finish and condition of the product. First condition - while it was well packed and the box had no visible signs of damage, there was a splinter of wood broken off the back edge and two areas where the finish was rubbed a little raw. Secondly, the top decorative edge on one side had what appeared to be an overuse of glue or putty and restained without properly sanding. Because the splintered piece was in the back where it wouldn't be seen, the two raw areas easily touched-up, and the top edge seam looked a bit like the older, distressed furniture surrounding this cabinet, it was not worth going through the hassle of a return. If not for these, it would be a five star.

For the moneyHome Star Knob Hill Collection File Cabinet this is a VERY nice solid wood, two-drawer file cabinet. My only reservations are that the directions for assembly are not the greatest; it was not apparent that something needed to be done early on, necessitating taking it apart and starting over. Other than that assembly was easy even for an 83 year old woman. My other complaint was that this particular cabinet had broken wheel glides on the upper drawer which I didn't notice until I tried to install the top drawer. However, Amazon has already shipped me a replacement. I would buy it again. In honesty, I think most men could figure out the assembly even without the dismal direction sheet.
