BMW 2000 328CI Window Won't Drop?

I have a BMW 2000 328CI and when you open the doors the window suppose to drop about 1 inch to clear the chrome molding on the doors. My passenger side stop working and the window bangs when you shut the door. I did memory reset but some issue. It would work every now and then but now it hasn't. Also, when you open the passenger side door the dome light doesn't turn on.

Your door switch is faulty. When this switch goes bad, the car has no idea that the door is being opened, so the window drop won't activate.

Push the switch in and out a few times to see if you can loosen whatever muck that's causing the switch to fail. If it doesn't work, remove it and clean it or replace it.
