How to install a screen door in front of my door for the doorknob tha is not in the way?

I bought the vinyl screen doors to put on my door so I could leave my door open and have a breeze running through the house. I measured the height and width very well, cut the door fits ... great. But after riding I realized that my camera can not close the screen door because the door handle of my protruding beyond the door frame and hits the screen on my door before they can close. Likewise, if the screen door is closed and locked, I can not close the door of my house because there is enough space for the doorknob of my front door Houese. How is this resolved? I can only imagine that must be built on? I need Almos 3 inches more. Is this the right way to do this?

I'm assuming you already installed the screen door handle and that is what is causing the problem (not uncommon). There are three basic ways to solve this dilemma.
