How To Install A Deadbolt Lock

Help put the lever in manual entry door of the house.?

I bought a Prestige series Baldwin lever / manual entry lock to replace existing, older knob. I have it all together at the door, the problem is the little knob to turn to lock and unlock the door from the inside will not turn at all, as has been hit something. I also tried the key, turn around, but not close the door. Am I doing something wrong here? I'm actually in the final trial and would appreciate any help! Yes I read the instructions, which are vague. When the two plates separated from eachother, the inner knob that locks and unlocks the door to rotate freely. When I put the two together in the door, not moving.

I think you're in the right track here, as an installer of commercial doors, I think that if you squeeze too much "sex bolts" (yes, that's what they call) joins the lever, also ensure that the fundamental way in which slides the locking lever (inside the door) is not bound to go up or sideways, this prevents be able to lock and unlock the door. If all else fails, remove and try again. I had to do it myself. Good luck
