What color to paint bathroom?

I all have a white tiled bathroom with a cabinet of dark wood and brushed nickel on the shower door trim / accessories / knobs. What color would you suggest to paint the walls? I was thinking a light gray (not silver too dark to close in the bathroom), silver gray or gray / wallpaper stripped. Any suggestions appreciated. I forgot to add that I was looking for elegance and class, as a common bathroom on the first floor: =)
