Symbian has been a mainstay of the mobile world since the early days of smartphones, but in 2009, is really coming of age with its new touch option. Let's look at three phones that really show it off.

Nokia N97 - a true mobile multimedia computer

Nokia have a history of doing some of the coolest smartphones ever made, with its Nseries, and the Nokia N97, have truly outdone themselves. The Nokia N97 is closer to being a team than any other phone in the history of the Finnish manufacturer.

Samsung Omnia HD - Symbian mix video with the best in the business of

While the Nokia N97 is focused on messaging and communications side of things, the Samsung Omnia new HD takes a different route, and is a unique, so far: the HD Samsung Omnia is the only phone in the world capable of recording real, true HD (high definition), with 720p resolution mass (with the Samsung Omnia HD perfect for capturing high-definition videos uploaded to YouTube). Is the LG Dare require a data plan?

I was thinking of buying the Samsung Omnia, but Verizon requires a data plan, which is ridiculous because the phone comes with Wi-Fi. So now I am looking the LG Dare. Does anyone know for sure if a data plan is required for this phone? I am due to a hardware upgrade as my contract is, and I do not want to pay more than they already do a month.

The data plan is not a requirement. However, using data from web browsing, downloading songs, games and videos, and text messages. It's a good idea to get a data plan because the phone function is basically hanging around. However, it is not necessary if not using these features frequently.
