Credit Card Debt Negotiation - The Best Strategies to Negotiate With Creditors
If you are an individual who is deep in debt, then one of your major priorities would be to pay it off at the earliest as the longer you remain in debt, the longer you will need to keep paying interest and undergo harassment from creditors. In order to lead a debt free life, you should negotiate with your creditors on ensuring a debt payoff.

Build a rapport with the creditor and offer to pay them a settlement which is 40-50% of the original debt. The creditor may or may not agree to the sum, but it will open the doors for further negotiation which can be settled at a mutually agreeable amount.
Just as it is important to negotiate, it is also very important to ensure that the negotiation and the final deal is recorded in writing for future reference. Ensure that a contract is written up with the new amount, settlement terms and method of payment and send the agreement to the creditor through certified mail so that you will obtain a receipt when they receive the document. Make sure that you take copies of this document for your use.
