Replacement of locks of the house facing the door?
I need to replace the main door lock of the door of my house. It is of Class 2-piece, a piece for the handle and the other piece above for the latch. I was thinking of getting these online for a hardware upgrade to nicer quality. First question: Where is the best place to search online (can be eBay?). Second question: Are two-piece door locks fairly standard, or come in different sizes in how they fit into the holes in the door? Thanks
I just installed new locks for a client a couple of weeks. If you have a guy who has a handle with a separate hole through the door to ensure the bottom of the grip, they are not all the same distance. The one I have installed a floating connection point to accommodate several different distances. You should go to a store to check out these online instead of in my opinion. If you get the same brand as the locks of others who have for the back door, etc, are can get the new introduced a new party.
