"LED backlighting Great TV!" 2010-05-21
S. Maji (San Jose CA U.S.)
I usually do not write comments. However, this TV surprised me so much that I am compelled to write one. I bought this TV a mortar shop brick'n 'For an incredible price. Right out of the box, the picture quality is excellent. Even the HD channels were not near HD quality. When he hit Comcast Cable box HD, I was just shocked! Truly amazing color accuracy. I saw life and Planet Earth. Each picture seemed a photo taken for $ 2000 digital SLR camera.
I know people have complained of lanterns corner. I know LG TVs do not have to (as they are backlit), but I was confused the picture quality of Samsung. It was unreal! And the contrast enhancing layer entirely clear that works for me. I could see his own reflection when the unit is off. But when its on, you can not see anything but the large images. About the torches in the corner, yes, is there. But nothing to distract anything. Also if you are looking at the dead center position which does not even notice it.

Pros: Excellent image quality, color accuracy.
Very deep blacks.
Cons: Poor angle change + Some flashlights corner.

Go ahead and buy it. You will not regret.

"The beautiful image quality, performance, Horrible!" 2010-05-16
By Brad Brockmeyer (Chicago, IL)
Watch the video here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3EK5JFSYNNNKX UN55C6300 I bought and am very pleased with the picture quality. But right out of the box I noticed that the lips were not in tune, and also that screen frames often jumps.

I have a DVD player, Blu-ray, and HD satellite receiver (Dish Network) all connected and all sources have the same problems. I tried the HDMI, coaxial, component, composite and entries. All results in lag video and audio out of sync.

If I use the HDMI cable and TV speakers, the audio is in sync. However, with any external audio receiver immediately evident that audio video gets a lot (at least 120 ms). Even if you turn "gameplay" in the video continues, but not so bad.

Even if I upgrade to an audio receiver that has a delay feature to try to synchronize the two, that does not help because the time delay between audio and video appears to vary widely. In other words, without changing anything, the audio and video will move closer and further synchronization in line all day. This is a very frustrating problem. My BluRay player has a built in delay function, but maxes out at 120ms. When I have it in this setting, the lip sync problem has improved considerably however, the video is still very significantly audio!

The video is cut off significantly when the "auto motion plus" feature is enabled. The strange thing is that even if you select this option to "Custom" and turn both reducing and reducing blur zero vibration, will regularly skip frames. With the Auto Motion Plus off will skip frames, only infrequently.

Video I posted video shows the problem of choppy. You can see the beginning of the video that the picture looks smooth. Then turn on the "Auto Motion Plus" on television, and play the exact same segment again. This time it is observed that the video is much clearer in the picture, however, is very busy. Every second "Skip frames.

Another strange thing about the choppy video problem is that the frame rate jump that changes with the show / movie is playing. For example, high-definition lost skip frames every two seconds, leads the nuts and forces us to close the "Auto Motion Plus." But Spiderman 3 on the same HD channel also showed almost no frame skip at all. Blu-rays allowed me to have the motion of cars, in addition to setting quite high, but still skip frames randomly throughout each film.

I know one of the responses that I get is equal to turn off the auto motion, but this option does a spectacular job and was one of my main reasons to upgrade to a Samsung TV in the first place. Even with the frame skip can be seen that picture is much clearer in the panoramic and comprehensive, and it is a shame to shut it down.

The best way to describe what I'm seeing is that I'm seeing TV on my computer and my computer processor can not keep up, and therefore the video skips a lot of pictures from time to time. This makes looking at something much less "fluid" and distracts me from getting "sucked" to what I'm seeing.

I called Samsung and they said they never heard of any of these problems. This gave me hope that I have only one bad TV. So they sent a technician, and replaced the processor and power supply. No Cigar problems, exactly the same after you leave. So I changed the TV for a new one, go home, and the same exact problems. It seems that this is the how this TV is supposed to perform.

Another thing that really bothers me is that it combines the component and composite inputs. This means I have to choose one or the other hook up two, I do not know much. This means that if you want to use my VCR, I have to disconnect the component input from my DVD player or Blu-ray.

Among audio and video always out of sync with external speakers, and the fact that I can use the "Auto Motion Plus" feature that looks so surprising, but not working properly, I'm at a loss as to what to do. My wife is distracted by these issues, and she is a demanding person, not at all. What I do to hold on to this and pray for a firmware update that magically fix one or both of these problems, or I have to recover and try another brand? I'm thinking on his return.

"Amazing TV, but may be too big for my room" 05/16/2010
M. Leingang
I went to an electronics store to buy a 46 "LCD to replace the Samsung LCD 46" I just broke down and ended up coming home with this. F r s that was on sale for 1 5 0 0, so we decided to spend the extra 6 0 0 to buy this. I was torn for not buying the Samsung TV with the Internet features (Netflix, Pandora, etc.), But we have the PS3, which makes up for it. We had to decide between the Samsung LN46C630, LN46C650, UN46C6300, UN46C6500, and this UN55C6300 model. They had price and 8 7 9 1 0 3 9 1 3 2 9 1 4 9 9 and 1 4 9 9. We were only looking at Samsung, because we have only had good experiences with Samsung until he accidentally hit LCD: (((Crack!)! Long story short that came with the 55 "

In the review:

Before buying this TV, consider the size of your room. We are about 10 feet away from television and this is the closest you want to be. There is a big difference between 46 "and 55"

Installation was easy. The box size makes it difficult for a person to carry it on TV, but is light enough to a person to lift. The first step is to set the base plate with 5 screws, next, we suggest using two people to put the TV on the base. I was able to do this step alone. Has tabs that lock into and 5 screws to secure the TV to the base.

All 4 HDMI ports are on the side, so you may need to use the cable management system that comes with the TV. There is also a component video connection. There is no composite video connector, which is a little context for me, because I have to buy a new connector for our WII. So if you must have a composite connector on your TV then this TV is not for you. Do not match TV no stars for this because I could have looked closer ... In addition to the old school compound and I do not mind buying the component cable

Powers TV quite fast and much faster than our model of 550 killed ..

The clarity of this TV is incredible, the colors actually jump and well defined. It's almost like the people on screen are in the room with you. Blu Rays were just amazing on our 46 "LCD is trippy watched. In the 55 "screen Talk about seeing the pores in the faces of people is perhaps a little too good of a picture:. D (I know, there is no such thing) definitely is a reflection of the TV, but not enough to bother.

The sound is on par with our previous Samsung, which is not great, but for most people audiophile enough then we need for our family.

Because LED is a liquid crystal is thin. It's a little over 1 "thick not as thin as the 9000 series, but I have that much money out there:).

I recommend this TV for anyone with a bigger room enough to accomidate. I am not having any buyers remorse. If anyone has any questions please post a comment and I'll try to answer

"Great TV w / the latest technology 28/04/2010
By Juan Villalovos
I recently purchased and took delivery of this TV from Amazon and delivery was fast and efficient. I had read almost all the reviews online I could find on this TV. Because it is so new, not many. The TV has a superb picture quality and it seems that some images and scenes look more "real" than the standard LCD TV. Somehow, often seems to have more depth and detail (almost 3 D'ish at times) that the LCD screens with standard CCFL back lighting. I also felt that the edge Samsung's LED-lit panel, this was an image superior to other brands of LED / LCD TV. Aware of possible cracks in the armor, I had read about "flower" or "flashlight" effect emanating from the corners of the screen when the screen is black or dark scenes showing. The first time you set my TV and was going through his routine auto channel programming, the screen was all black and I noticed a slight glimmer flower effect and clouds from the top two corners, several centimeters. However, was not excessive, and was perceptible, and I still have not noticed when viewing the program material. Because the panel is so thin LED found on the edges and have yet to bring light to other parts of the screen, with special diffusers, it is extremely difficult to eradicate completely the light "leakage" in all conditions with this type of configuration of the backlight. But the reality is that probably these conditions constitute a very small percentage of Total time program of insight and experience. I have also noticed the occasional artifacting with some high-speed motion, but no more than any other LCD TV I've seen, even some at 240Hz. I like the frugal use of energy to this 55 "LED / LCD from Samsung, has, along with its super slim profile and looks sharp they are modern and updated, however, discrete. However, the most important factor that led me to pull the trigger on purchases, was the great picture quality. A beautiful display bright, with sharp detail with high contrast and rich colors, that once properly set up, is super accurate and super real!

"The only drawback for me is the reflectivity "26/04/2010
By J. Thompson (USA)
Pros: This is the 55 "model 2010, expensive as the 120 Hz 55 "Samsung LCD LED UN55C6300 55 inch 1080p HDTV 120 Hz LED (Black) from Samsung. Very good image with clear and vivid colors, bright and well-black. I especially seeing golf, which is clearly an upgrade from my 4 year old Samsung DLP, which was excellent. The image is easily bright enough to see daylight. No problems aside LED lighting. N fuzzy watching basketball. Thin a "panel. This TV is much more polished than the typical 3 or 4 "thick ones. There are openings for all connections of this type coming out sideways in the pocket (parallel to the plane of the panel) and Samsung hardware can hang far near flat against the wall like a painting. Viewing angle is excellent, even from very far to one side. It is very light, only about 45 pounds with stand. Mounting VESA screws are 480x480 if you use a third wall mounting. The included stand is very nice. The bezel is very thin, about 1 1 / 2 "wide at the sides and top, 2 "at the bottom. total height dimension is actually less than my 50" old model.

Cons: Despite the marketing line Samsung, this panel is very reflective - more on par with a typical plasma than an LCD. It is much more reflective than a similar model LG Slim LED panel. That does not bother some people, and his eyes seemed to focus at the television and did not even notice it. For others it's like looking in a mirror. If you are bothered that the reflectivity, do not buy this TV unless you can angle away from light sources such as lights and windows. This is what I did, and as a result, although in a room with large windows, the angle is such that any windows or overhead lights reflected back to the viewer. You will notice the reflectivity especially when the image has a large area of dark and uniform as blue or black. I should add that the framework itself is a reflection, what bothers me. For some reason, the manufacturers seem to like that.

Since I bought the TV reflexive knowledge is, and knowing that I could set to avoid glare, I'm not disappointed in any way, and give it five stars. Amazon delivery was 48 hours from order entry. I paid $ 2100 delivered to my door, but would not surprise me if he could be found for less elsewhere. If cost is a problem and the thinness or weight is not I suspect that would get the same or similar image of a cheaper plasma TV. However, I rate this TV on its own merits and not necessarily in the most bang for the buck.
